I just haven't had an opportunity to just chill in my fave coffee shop. It's been one thing after another here. Everyone has had some funky winter sickness. Schedules haven't coordinated well enough to allow me time to hang at the shop instead of at home. AND my favorite barista hasn't been there when I have...which leads to an unhappy day.
Who knew my mood was regulated by where I sat to drink my iced coffee?

Wake up!
I am interrupting the lack of posting on this blog to ask you one simple question. How on earth does one fall asleep in a coffee shop?
We were enjoying our coffee today and this really sweet guy sat down beside us. Within minutes, he was snoring softly...with a cup of coffee in one hand and his iphone in the other. I really felt bad for him, so I refrained from laughing.
I hope he got some rest before he had to get in his vehicle and drive. ;-)

a Two Coffee Kind of Day
Today was one of those days. Nothing seemed to go quite right and I felt like I could crawl back into bed at any moment and sleep, the rest of the day. Instead, it became a two coffee day. :-)

The Scent of Coffee.....
I so enjoy sitting at my little table in my favorite coffee shop, chatting with my favorite baristas. I have yet to meet a barista there that I don't like :-)
Today was interesting. A lot of activity for a Tuesday afternoon. The hum of conversations almost drowned out the music that was playing. I ran into an old friend, whom I haven't seen in probably 4 years. You come to realize how far you have come, at times like this. I feel so far removed from her....which means I have grown so much in those years. To think, I felt as if I were spinning my wheels all that time. Apparently not!
Until my husband's retirement, I only visited Starbucks about once a week. I didn't come to know anyone. Since his retirement, we have become one of the regulars. It's fun to see who visits on a daily basis.....
ahhh, just a rambling kind of day, I think.

Two Days Without Coffee....
....and I'm starting to have withdrawls. I was nearing the breaking point today. I was like a junkie needing a fix. I was about ready to do one of two things. 1. drive without a license in a *borrowed* car, to my local Starbucks or 2. pay someone an exorbitant amount of money to drive me there, legally. I did neither. Instead, I sat here in a stupor for most of the day.
Tomorrow I WILL be at Starbucks. Thankyouverymuch. I bet they missed us as much as I missed them. I'm willing to bet they even checked obituaries today....Two days without Starbucks? It's scary.

Busy!
Starbucks was super busy today! Wow! Today must be a busy shopping/travel day, plus everyone seems to be trying to get to their destinations before the snow hits. I look forward to my quiet moments at Starbucks.
